The Close Out Game: Clippers vs Spurs
San Antonio has not shot the 3 well in this series so far. Last game was a huge adjustment by the law of averages and as it has been said time and time again, SAS barely won and probably should not have won.

Just another overated capper, all the write ups in the world ain't gonna help ya
Yes, yes. Let's just throw shi* at the wall and see what team sticks. That's the way to cap! Screw write-ups! I mean, who wants to explain their thinking about capping or anything else!
But wow, did that 25K fine for Doc do wonders for him. 3 fouls each on Duncan and Parker, at the half! Took them out of the game and out of their rhythm. Whistles all over the place. Even three second violations on the Spurs which are rarely, if ever called! Refs gave it all back to the clips tonight with a very liberal whistle as expected.
And a weak Clippers bench got even weaker with Davis going down, someone who gives crucial rest time to Blake.
But I gotta say this, it's debatable whether Davis or Rivers is the worst player on the court. Davis is absolutely unbearable to watch.
Can't pass, falls down all over the place, unwarranted fouls, overweight, sweaty, and out of control almost all the time (He makes Oliver Miller look like Lou Ferrigno from his Hulk glory days). I can't take him anymore. But what can ya do? There's nothing on the bench outside of Crawford so he has to play. The Clippers will eventually get bit in the a** as we all know for their lack of bench but they live on for one night more. But the first guy I'd replace is Davis in the offseason because the coach's son isn't going anywhere.
The debate was fun BB. ![]()

really hard to figure out why marco and mills were sitting on the bench with parker and green playing like crap
Same thing I was thinking of, and I had O206

Scal/BB i've under estimated the clippers big time.....
Of course you can ride out your series bet Gene. The Clips have proven they can take this series to 7 games. That's it! This game proved what you said: that the Clips had the do or die attitude tonight (with ref assistance) and the Spurs didn't. That's all. Game 7, both teams will be playing do or die...big difference.
But look at the bench production if you are worried: Game 5 Spurs - 48 pts. Clips -17. Game 6 Spurs - 48 pts Clips 15. It's so incredibly glaring it's getting laughable.
Blake is dry heaving on the sideline for even 2 minutes rest at the end of the third quarter. Now Davis is injured (and when he's out there, good lord)? Who gets extended minutes now for Blake? Hawes?? You trust him?
There was a sequence at the beginning of the 4th where the Spurs were making a small run and Blake was on the bench, and the Clips were pulling some ref arguing before subbing in Blake. The crowd booed furiously, likely understanding it was to get Blake additional rest (not like 2:30 minutes and 1 minute to start the 4th with a commercial break is a lot) because he was so winded.
The bench is absolutely brutal. Nothing more needs to be said. Starters can't win every single big playoff game for you. I was interested in this game only really. Game 7 is completely different (and the refs will be too). I'll just enjoy the seventh game and then the fight. ![]()

Bottom line. Scalabrine and beginner boy are vastly overrated cappers who like to hear themselves talk. They love the paragraphs and paragraphs of their own reasoning, but their reasoning is always off.
