Playoff seeding is starting to get interesting. It appears to me that #4 spot in the East is the sweet spot as it likely avoids Celtics until Conf Finals. Winner of the 4/5 playoff matchup would get Pistons likely w/out Cunningham...maybe not the worst scenario. If that is true, then Cavs will be maneuvering to hold onto 4 seed and moreover, not do anything silly to jump up to #3 seed...got to watch Cavs closely next few weeks. Celtics look like they have the most difficult schedule remaining. So do Knicks. I wonder if Celtics or Knicks would semi-tank to get 4 seed, avoid the other team and get to Pistons? Man, we could make a small fortune if that was indeed true.
In the West, getting off of #6 seed and avoiding Lakers (who appear to be locked into 3 seed) seem like the best bet to win a 1st round playoff series before facing Thunder. A 4/5 matchup w Hou seems like best bet so I'd guess Minny will be gunning to get out of that 6 spot and move up. Either way the road goes thru Thunder and Spurs eventually.
My Blazers haven't won in Denver since 2016/17 season, that is insane. I think something like 16 straight losses in Mile High.
Zach Zarber is whistling the Wolves/Celtics game. He is due for an over and I think Minny will actually compete in this one w/out Edwards. Wolves + the pts and TT over is tempting.

Now it gets more interesting as with that win Wolves climb out of 6 seed for now and would avoid Lakers. With that loss Celtics get .5 game closer to what I think is the coveted 4 seed in the East. Are Celtics semi tank to drop to 4 which would avoid Knicks until conf finals and instead get Pistons? I would. 4 seed may be the easiest path to the Conference Finals. Cavs are the team to watch as they should jokey wins and losses to hang tightly to that 4 spot.
meanwhile Lakers control their own destiny as they only need probably 4-5 more wins to maintain 3 seed. The battle out west is for 4/5 seeds to avoid 1st round matchup with Lakers imo.

The race for 8 in the East is entirely different than the race for 8 in the West. No one in the west wants to draw OKC 1st round but I’d imagine Heat/Magic/Philly/Char would much more want to get 8 and square off against Pistons without Cade and avoid Boston and Knicks in the process.
