the point i was trying to make scalabrine is that the beautiful, peculiar thing about wat you are doing is that no matter how well or badly you handicap a game or anticipate it playing out,you can STILL get the result you need...fortune,fluke,amazing play..watever can bail you out in this league.so no need to quit on any game that isnt a 30 point blowout with 1 minute left

Lol sorry bro can't give u props on the hedge!! Simply had 2600 payout if nets won didn't want to go through a heart attack so used 600 to hedge for a 2k profit or a even game. Tell u the truth I wasn't even comfortable with a 13 pt lead in the fourth, but u already threw in the white towel

Derrick Stafford, even if you discount the say 4-5 really bad calls he made in favor of the Nets not giving DWill what was his 6 foul should be embarrassing for the league. NBA mission accomplished Nets/Heat.

We almost got there guys. Never would have believed they could have won this one but these raps had two incredible comebacks that fell a hair short and this one a razor's edge short.
Now seriously, who really believes this nets team can beat the heat in a 7 gamer!?????
Can I get series odds from someone please?

I hoped for better but I knew I could be up against such a thing. And still made the pick anyway.

I am not Raps fan and had money on Nets ML but NBA looks really bad. Understand it is a very hard job but the block on Lowery at one end and then the exact same play next trip down is a O foul on raps is hard to understand.
Heat will beat down the nets.

Heat are not going to beat down the Nets.

Damn, never had that happen to me before

Scal, I was gonna warn you today, not about the outcome, because I always thought it would be close, but capping it. (It was a very difficult game to cap. Just like the Dubs game last night.) As I read it it reminded me of my caps of some Warrior games: there is such a thing as being too close to something, and that happens sometimes with teams we watch a lot and even maybe secretly root for. Anyway, I love the Heat in game 1 and also OKC. May do a write-up of the OKC game as I see that one being a blow out. These teams (the Clippers and the Nets) have been on an emotional roller-coaster ride. I don't see them being anything close to ready for game 1.

I agree. I did it because it's a game 7 and the line was just at a point where I could get a ML. If it was 3.5, I wouldn't have capped it. I wouldn't have laid 3 here or bought 1.5 (ever).
I agree with both picks.
And you can always warn me about something. That's what a thread is for.

After all the ups and downs, and there were TONS, your Clips/Nets/Spurs ML parlay came through.
Your bankroll should be getting up there!
My bankroll will be exactly where it was before the Ty Corbin debacle (unless the Spurs have a huge meltdown) and everything that followed: 11 K. At one point I was down to 3K. But treading water will not cut it, so I gotta start getting ahead.
The Nets line just came out on betonline, and it is at +7.5. A little too high, if I wanna back Miami, but a good teasing opportunity.

Nets a bad bad match up for the Heat.
"everyone knows they play differently in the playoffs"
Well as you just saw Nets were a different team Starting game 5 4th quarter and up in this series. I would guess Miami would be -500 or -550 or so for the series most likely.
You know what crazy though is that the Nets future odds were always lower than Toronto even when the Nets were down in the series.
The Nets have the biggest shot out of anyone inthe playoffs to beat the Heat IMO. Thunder don't match up well with them. And by the time the spurs (if they get there) get to the heat they will be tired and worn out (possibly). Nets just a gotta wake up call from Toronto and got the juices flowing.
But what we really want is for miami to trail hopefully 2-1 or something like that. it's possible.... anything is possible.... and if we get that opportunity then we can buy some Futures on Miami.....
Laying -400 for Miami to win the East is ridiculous. Or +140 (whatever it is) for championship is also ridiculous.
I'm expecting Brooklyn to get blown out game 1.
Indy is going down as well..... I'm on the Wiz kids for the whole series. And i think they take them out game 1 in Indy as well.
ATL has no defense. Washington has plenty of defense.... and they can score points at a quicker rate than ATL can after they turn them over. Indy loves giving the ball to other team.

Agree with you as usual lol.
Was really really surprised by your Dubs last night. Hard to imagine Mark Jackson loses his job after that. And if he does I would think he would be out of work for 5 minutes at most. His phone would be going crazy with offers from other teams I would imagine.
