I could easily lose this bet and I surely won't have any excuses! When the better team wins on a given night, then it's just a matter of the cover. However from a handicapping perspective there is only play you can make in this game ! NEW ORLEANS. The desire to play hard for 82 games following a championship season decreases dramatically. We saw this with the Lakers the previous decade and now It's happening with the Heat. Miami is 12-5 SU but only 7-10 ats and 2-6 against the number when the chalk is greater than 9.
I am not doubting James,Bosh and Wade's desire to win another title but when the goal is to put 16 wins together in the months of April , May and June then the 82 games during the regular season become somewhat meaningless. Five out of the last 6 opponents have scored 100 or more on the Heat and 3 of those teams were Milwaukee, Cleveland and Washington.
