The NBA isn't going to do anything to prevent Toronto from getting to the finals.

Additionally, you don't think the entire country of Canada are Raptors fans and would tune in to their team being in the finals? How many people in the US are Bucks fans? The NBA has been trying to expand internationally for years. There's a reason Canada has a team, there is a reason games are being held in London every year, and there is a reason the NBA has discussed putting a team in Europe for years. You think the NBA would hold Toronto back from getting to the Finals? That's backwards thinking. The NBA brand is literally trying to expand globally...

If the Bucks get to the finals it's because they won fair and square, not because the NBA wants it.

And with that being said, as I've thought since the beginning of the year , I expect Toronto to be in the finals this season because they have a top 3 defense in the league, have the best home-court record over the past 2 seasons (better than GS) and they added Kawhi Leonard.

This is will be an ironic example, proving you wrong, but so be it. Last time the Bucks were in this position, if you recall, against the Iverson led Sixers, the NBA powers that be did all they could to make sure the Lakers played Sixers for the finals. So don't give me, the NBA does not prefer to see certain teams advance. Again, you have no answer why in rough and tumble game, where both teams were man-handling each other, Scott Foster was the ref and the Sixers got 30 FT on the road. And that's because there is only one good answer. The NBA wanted to see the Sixers advance.

And exactly how would the Bucks being in the Finals bring in more revenue than Toronto? And why didn't it matter during 6 of the last 10 NBA finals that resulted in 5 games or less? With lots of games ending by 1 , 2 , and 3 points where refs easily could have influenced the games?

The NBA finals are kind of like the SB. Once the teams get there (with or without the help of the officials) the NBA just lets them play it out. The Draymond suspension a few years ago was one of those rare occasions when an opportunity presented itself that gave the league a cover to extend a Final's series. Before that, the only other example I can recall, when the NBA decided to extend a series, was when the Mavs were about to go up 3-1 against the Heat and Wade got to the line again and again.

You cant possibly sit here and say that Kawhi isnt more popular then Tatum or Doncic or Butler.

The only problem with Kawhi is we dont know him, hes quiet and doesn't talk. If he started to address his fans more hed be a top 5 popular player in the NBA for sure, especially if he gets Canada behind him...

Why? Because not only are the Bucks as good or talented but they will also have the refs on their side. As I told you a few months back, the NBA wants to see two US teams play each other. Last I checked, Canada was not a part of the US. That's why the Sixers got 30 FT on the road and he Raptors only 17. The refs gave the Sixers every opportunity to win that game. Historically, the Raptors have gotten the short end of the stick when it comes officiating. And having Leonard (the silent superstar) won't change that. Especially not against the Greek Freak.[/Quote

Very incorrect...Toronto has one of the best fanbases in the NBA and Adam Silver has motivation for expanding more in Canada, if anything.

Earlier today:

“In retrospect, I wish we had a team in Vancouver right now. I think Canada could handle two NBA teams,” said Silver. “I share David’s sentiment that we do have regret. I think we were a bit ahead of our time. There was a moment in the league where prospects seemed down in terms of the team. Attendance was down, ratings were down. I understood from an economic standpoint why the then-team owner (Michael Heisley) wanted to move the team.”

“Unfortunately we’re not in expansion mode right now, but it would be nice to have a team in Vancouver,” Silver says. “It’s a great market, I have some in-laws that live in Vancouver. I get there, it’s a beautiful city.”

Does this mean you will be on da warriors???

How does -525 not give you the option to hedge if you got +3500?

How about you for making an awful pick.  Always looking for a reason to blame when you lose a play.  This play was a loser from the start.  No unlucky or anything.  Yet still look for a reason to complain.  Never talk about when you get lucky ever.

Your Rockets bet was horrible.  If they took care of business?  They got blown out.  If they won, they would be very lucky.  Yet if they did, you wouldn't even say a single thing about it.

Leaguecapper, learn some responsibility.  Admit you were wrong... very wrong.  Always looking for an excuse.

Also the fact is you are an average capper.  The fact that you said you don't even look at lines or the money proves you are an average capper.  You talk like some arrogant know it all.

I have been on this site for years I choose to very seldom post.I have without fail observed many excellent cappers on this site recklessly abused and ultimately they left .professional cappers do not always get it right in either there picks or perhaps how they cap a certain game. the goal here should be to try and help people trying to win bets no more .not to constantly bash .I would suspect the people that bash the most personal ATS record is less then stellar.I daily visit different forms and I certainly do not always agree with the posters information but have no interest or time to recklessly bash

Torry, do us all a favor and get lost. People are here to help each other and for friendly conversation in hopes of everyone winning a few bets from time to time. This site does not need negative people like yourself

I'm telling the truth.  Even the few other posters here agreed with me.

Leaguecapper never talks about his lucky wins ever.  He had games where the team he was betting were laying 6 points or more with 2 minutes left and tied game.  They somehow won by 8 or more points and covered.  What was his response to it?  He just counted it as a win and did not mention how he got lucky.

Look at that toronto game winner.  Nothing about how he got lucky there.  Had it been a sixer who hit that, he would talk about his bad luck etc.  He has been running very good and has been on the positive side of variance.  Look at the houston series bet and laying 7 points.  He was completely wrong about them as they never even came close to covering the game.  Now imagine had they covered at the end.  You wouldn't hear him talking about how lucky he got.  He blamed it on houston etc.  He never blamed on himself for a bad pick.  You telling me that is respectable capper?  Own up to that you made a bad bet.  He always look for an excuse when he loses.  Yet when he wins, he talks like a smart guy etc.

Look at his posts.  You wonder why he doesn't get that many replies now compared to previously?  Because other ppl notice this as well.  He is an average capper on a short positive variance.  You know how?  He has gotten much more lucky in his plays than the other way around.  Also he doesn't care about beating the closing line.  That alone tells you he is an average joe.  Beating the closing line means you are +EV.  All his plays do not even involve crunching numbers.  That is why he is not a capper.  If you are not working with numbers, you are not a legit capper, you basically are flipping a coin... with a feeling etc.  Notice how he say he like so and so team etc?  None of these plays are based on math.  Thus he is an average joe... nothing wrong with that, most ppl are.  But when you talk above everyone else and think you are something special, then that is a problem.

Someone like him is a disgrace to others who really cap games.  By that i mean hours of number crunching and research and getting down on openers and betting the max on openers to shape the lines.  You think he does any of that stuff?  He probably doesn't even know what sdql is or knows very little of it.  He probably has a play he likes, goes with what he thinks and then thats his play.  Nothing wrong with that... majority of ppl do this.  But almost no one will be a winner long term doing this.  If you are beating the closing line, that gives you a clue if you are a winner or not and you need a big sample.
