NBA playoff angle

We all know that past trends can lose, so take this angle with a grain of salt.....this is a game one, round 1 away dog angle.

Playoff teams with no playoff experience have done well in the first game on the road in the first round of the playoffs.  Last year, the team with lesser playoff experience I read somewhere online went 7-0 in their playoff series.

The parameters of this angle are these:

  a)  A round 1, game 1 away dog that missed the playoffs the last couple of seasons....noted that the play-in games are counted as playoff games in the killersports database (the play-in is considered round 0) but for this angle they are not.

  b)  Our inexperienced away dog and their present opponent both have won more than 2 out of their last six games.

  c)   The away dog had a worse regular season record the season before than their present game one opponent

  d)  We are deleting the one Monday game in the database.

Results.....22-3 ATS (+6.6)....12-13 straight up (-1.1), average line +7.6,.........ON Raptors, Hawks

So play-in winners count or no?

In the query text I used playing in 2 or less playoff games in each of the prior two seasons as the parameter, that could be relevant when there was a time where the first round was best of three (up and through 2003) and a team got swept, or if they were eliminated in the play-in round.

For example if a team played in one or two  play-in games and was defeated before round 1 that team qualified.
