I had a brutal beat on my last posted play here when the +4 1/2 Pelicans were outscored by 17 in the 4th for me to lose by a half point. Onward:

Charlotte has been one of the best teams in the NBA after a slow start in which their young stars were getting to know one another. And they are on fire right now: Charlotte has won its last four by a combined 116 points. They are in a great scheduling spot here, playing the fifth game of a seven game home stand with rest on both sides. The stats are incredible: Hornets have shot over 50 percent their last four while holding all four opponents under 42 percent. The Knicks' seven game win streak is a mirage as every opponent was a really bad team. Huge game for Charlotte as they are only two games away from getting out of the play-in tourney. Icing on the cake: Charlotte is the best ATS team in the league at 44-28.
