I remember having the future on the Celtics to win the 2008 championship...after I saw Ray Ray couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with his jump shot, I was terrified and hedged almost every game thereafter...Celtics cashed of course which left only small profit in the end...regret it till this day...now for parlays, futures, original bets up big at the half, there is NO BACKING DOWN.....I'll stand at the gates of Hades with my ticket in hand and a flaming pitchfork at my throat but I'll be damned if I reverse a winner ANYMORE!!!!

Maybe you should go shopping at Walmart during the game for long johns or something so you can't sit at your laptop hedging winners...

I still have $13,000 risked on the Heat at -6.5 and -7. I just didn't want to have $23,000 risked, ya know?

this thread is as quiet as a church mouse when bator's pick looks good...

Bator's team down by 1 ATS at any point???...a salivating mob of posters with axes, flaming torches and meat cleavers will be bum rushing him looking for every available limb...

Kinda liking the 2H under in the Lakers/Bulls game. Don't think Phil enjoyed giving up 31 against the jumpshooting Bulls in the 1Q and they seem to have buckled down on D a bit.

I'll talk to you in my 10th lifetime when I risk that much...what bothers me about hedging is that my profits are guaranteed but much smaller (obviously) and I am so perturbed about "giving some back" after the game that I usually start looking to late games...usually to fade the Clippers in spots where they stick a hot poker where the sun don't shine (ex. last night down 17 against the Wiz and they go on a 20-2 run to cover by .5)...gl with the hedge

Man Loses $127 Million Gambling in Vegas

In one of the biggest losing streaks by an individual in Las Vegas history, California importer Terrance Watanabe lost nearly $127 million gambling. He is now charged with four felony counts in district court for intent to defraud and steal from Harrah's, stemming from $14.7 million that the casino says it extended to him as credit before he lost it. Although Watanabe has paid nearly $112 million to Harrah's, he has refused to pay the rest. He denies the charges, alleging that the casino reneged on promises to give him cash back on some losses, and encouraged him to gamble while intoxicated.

What a revolting story. One gigantic imbecile putting $112 million in Harrah's pocket? There is no punishment suitable for him. If he'd also ordered the slaughter of 112,000 people, I could sooner forgive him for the genocide (especially if a portion of the 112,000 victims were Harrah's executives).

Such a surge of Toronto money right before the game, and another unusual surge at halftime, and down it all went. The books mopped up here. Keep an eye on the Heat when they're at home off a 15+ point loss, and if they're at home off a 20+ point home loss, take out a loan.
