Friends, I needed to modernize my approach and am currently training a model to pick games. I want to begin by acknowledging that I began tracking the model on Wednesday and it went 0-2. I've been refining it over the last week, and my collaborator and I feel that we're close. I'm resetting the record to reflect how many picks have been made from the updated model. Since I won't know how it's learning until 5-10 picks in, I would tread wisely with pick #1:
Orlando +3.5
Good luck! Hopefully, we won't need it

Hello friends
Friends, I needed to modernize my approach and am currently training a model to pick games. I want to begin by acknowledging that I began tracking the model on Wednesday and it went 0-2. Since I won't know how it's learning until 5-10 picks in, I would tread wisely with pick #1:
Charlotte is on a 29-10 run. Orlando is on a 7-10 run.
Charlotte has the 5th best MOV in road games in the NBA.
Charlotte started out the year horribly, but were verystrong in the 2nd half of the season. Orlando has been slightly better than average for pretty much the entire season. I like the Hornets to cover.

i dont like that the hornets won in Ot. over the years I've seen it in football and basketball ball that when a team wins in OT they usually lose and or do not cover the next game.

I was thinking the same. Miami is almost a near carbon copy of Orlando, too. Average defense, bunch of G-leaguers that can't shoot. Orlando does have Bane. Who I think has been worth every draft pick given for him so far. But, it could have just been a feel-out game. We'll see.
