I'm posting this thread to see what your thoughts are on one of my favorite movies. There supposedly is a modern day The Warriors coming out soon. But it would never replace the original. I liked how the movie was based in NYC(1979). Anyone have a favorite line from the movie, like, "Warriors, come out to plaaaaaaaay!"

One of my favorite lines from the movie was when they were fighting the Furies in the park. Warrior Ajax is about to fight the Furies guy, who has a baseball bat, "I'm gonna shove that bat up your ass and turn you into a popsicle!"

Hey KOAJ, I have that anniversary dvd too. They made some slight changes to it but it's still a classic. They made a game for it for PS2 or Xbox. There are some t-shirts out there you can get as well for the movie. "Can you dig it?!!!"

The Warriors soundtrack on vinyl? Awesome! You should pick up the 25th anniversary dvd. Yeah, "In the City" is an awesome song. It fits the scene perfectly as the Warriors get home to Coney Island and walking on the beach, knowing "they made it".

I remember thinking one of them, this Puerto Rican thin kinda cute chick with a longish fro was pretty hot, and the Warrior that was the box of the gang that seemed to be there just to hold the spray paint can , looked scared of her when everyone else was gettin set up two of them at a time.
Kodiak mentioned "the Lizzies"
LMAO!

I think the Wonder Wheel, the infamous ferris wheel in the scenes shot in Coney Island, is still there today. That is a classical trademark of Coney Island, being on the boardwalk along the ocean.

Good flick........................interestingly, two of the characters in that movie starred in "48 hours" with Eddie Murphy & Nick Nolte. The guy yelling "Warriors.........come out to play"= Luther, & one of the Warriors played Albert Ganz.

Hey MUGG, don't forget about Marcelino Sanchez. . . He was Rembrandt in The Warriors and played the parking garage attendant in 48 Hours. He died in 1986, sadly. Walter Hill was the director of both movies. Hence, the guys get roles in both movies. FYI, that was James Remar who played Ganz in 48 Hours and Ajax in The Warriors
