Dunno about you but I'm I'm pretty tone sensitive to a great voice that goes from high low mid in a range that is pleasing to the ear. Just appreciate it and don't really care what kind of music it is.

Mariah Carey "We belong Together." Caught my attention recently. Where the hell did that come from? Where did that come from? She was always flat.
Wow, she's hitting notes on the entire scale.
The one that does "Live without you" Who is that? another amazing voice. And yes, I turn it down at traffic lights.

Kasey Chambers is a great call...  I'm a Little Bit Lonesome is one of my favorite songs.
 
Natalie Maines is a badass too.  You can get a feel for the incredible range of her voice in Cold Day in July.

I remember seeing a double bill on Good Friday a few years ago of Kasey Chambers and EmmyLou Harris. Great show.

I remember Mazzy Starr.  I used to use "Fade Into You" to help me fall asleep.  No kidding.  Worked like a charm.  And that's not a slight either.  Very calming.  But when it came on the car radio, I had to switch, or I might not be here today.

Leann Rhimes did that song. Some people prefer the Tricia Yearwood version. Tricia Yearwood has a very strong voice if you've never heard any of her stuff...(That's the right song I'm thinking about, I hope...)

I dont really like female vocalists, but one song gives me the chills everytime. Great Gig in the Sky by Pink Floyd. I dont know who does it, but it is pure beauty.

Yes, Clare Torrey did the original............on the latest Roger Waters tour, Carol Kenyon sang it & it was stunning............chilling even, to see this done live. One of the highlights of the show for me.
