The Green Hornet...I expected this to be terrible but I actually didnt think it was that bad. A little long but I thought it moved okay. Probably would have been better in 3D but I liked it. Some  action and the story was pretty good

no country for old men. 

the ending of that sucked but that was a good movie

Ghost Dog: The Way Of The Samurai (1999)

recorded off IFC and watched last night. was a pretty good "lone wolf hitman vs Mafia family" movie. decent action with a modern "film noir" quality to it. kind of drags the first 15 minutes or so but picks up the pace later.

the Forest Whitaker character Clyde Snow in his 2006 movie Even Money with Kim Basinger, Danny DeVito, and Ray Liotta has a lot of similarities to his Ghost Dog. it's also worth viewing when it's on.

rather dark and depressing movie BUT I thought it was well acted by all involved.

watched Megamind last night and thought the basic plot was kind of a rip-off of Despicable Me.

Not an animated movie fan...I try to watch them but cant get into them...I may try to watch Megamind.

Rabbit Hole...well done ,depressing, Nicole Kidman deserved her oscar nomination

almost have to watch Despicable Me first for comparison. both have about the same level of CG but I personally think D-M has the more interesting "plot" and characters.

just happened to watch part of The Professional (aka "Leon" in Europe) and I can't understand how then 13 year old Natalie Portman didn't get an Academy Award Best Actress nomination as Mathilda and Gary Oldman a Best Supporing Actor nomination as Stansfield. hell, his character is listed #43 on the Online Film Critics Society "Top 100 Villains of All Time" and I think it should be higher. GREAT portrayal of a corrupt murdeous psyco. just the scene with him and Mathilda in the Federal Building rest room should have been a winner. WICKED motherfucker.

Pandorum (2009)

watched last night and it was a pretty good "Alien-Aliens" style SciFi space thriller with good action, a bunch of plot twists and a "Psyco" angle to it. worth watching IF you like the genre.

only problem is the sound was "arty-smarty" and the dialog was unintelligible in about a third of it.

it's on Starz Edge again Saturday @ 12:10 am and 4:20 pm pacific time.

Conviction with Hilary Swank playing a sister trying to get her innocent brother out of jail. Better than I expected on HBO...

Disagree with Totoy...it wasn't terrible.  It's a very slow moving movie, but a decent story and some funny parts.  Not the typical Will Ferrell movie by any stretch, but definitely gives good insight into how quickly things can go downhill. 

Pushing tin   I bought it at yard sale for a buck.  Billy bob and John cusack is in it so i figure what the heck it;s only a dollar.  Story about air traffic controllers.  

The Darjeeling Limited

Definitely not your mainstream movie, and not for everyone.  It's a Wes Anderson film, so if you like his movies (e.g. Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore), you'll probably enjoy this one.  Royal Tenenbaums is the only movie of his that I've seen, and thought it was decent.  However, for whatever reason, I really liked this movie.  Pretty slow moving and odd humor.   

And you get Angelina Jolies bare breasts

    Though she was naked all the time in Gia so nothing new.  Younger boobs in Gia as well .

I never saw Gia and its never on.

127 hours  Didnt know what to expect but I though it was terrfic. Mostly James Franco trapped in a canyon but very well done. I liked it a lot

Due Date...completely awful "comedy". Just awful 1 or 2 funny parts in the 1st 1/2 hour but it was god awful. Have I metioned it was awful?
