Movies you saw for the 1st time. June 2011

I Saw the Devil...pretty interesting flick. some gory parts but if they can stomach it, it is very cool

The Way Back...ok. exact same as the original

How to Die in Oregon..hard to watch but worth it in my opinion. Really opens your eyes. Would like to get others opinions on how they feel about the law.

Gran Torino

Awesome movie. Amazing how Eastwood can still be a badass well into his 70's. Very moving..probably in my top 20 of all-time favs. Hilarious scenes also.

I posted about that movie last week. I am not sure I like doctors writing prescriptions for death. I can see the peoples points and they do not want to suffer but you dont know if they can come up with a cure or a way to improve your quality of life. I say keep me around just in case. I realize suffering like that must suck but I dont think Id want to just end it all

limitless - not bad

Going the Distance - Pretty funny

Buried : Ryan Reynolds. Excellent suspense movie!

Knight and Day . eh.

watched Sylvester Stallone's "The Expendables" last night. plenty fights and ordnance but "same old, same old" plot. did have a "who's who" (or maybe more like "who WAS") of 80's and 90's action heros in the cast.

OK for the teenage testosterone crowd BUT I think most adults will find it rather dull. worst movie with Jason Statham in it I've seen. I can see why it's on EPIX less than a year after it's release.

127 Hours - I was actually surprised that I enjoyed this.  I'm starting to appreciate James Franco the more I see him.  I think he did a really good job in this movie considering he pretty much had to carry the film.

Agreed.

GREAT movie.

Stone

Intense acting and dialogue. Storyline could've used some more help though.

Good movie.

Takers - enjoyed it, a good movie.

I couldnt get past 20 minutes of Takers

The Roomate - Pretty good...lotta hot chicks in this one...Minka Kelly, Leighton Meester, Danneel Harris

No Strings Attached - Solid movie...pretty funny Natalie Portman

wow, i thought this movie was absolutely horrible.  other than the looking at the main character, who is hot as hell, the movie was pretty retarded.

Worst movie i've ever seen in my life.

I didn't have high expectations...it wasn't that bad

Just Go With IT - Very funny...Liked it alot

I really liked it too..laughed a LOT

I haven't laughed that hard in awhile

I love how the Critics threw this movie under the bus

Movie critics have to be the dumbest fucks on the earth

cedar rapids - not bad
