early pre WWII Fritz Lang "expressionist" classic that launched Peter Lorre's film career. ever seen Metropolis? it's probably Lang's best.

finally watched Hamburger Hill last night on EPIX. well acted, esp by Dylan McDermott as Sgt Frantz and Courtney Vance as "Doc", depiction of The Battle of Hill 937, which became known as 'Hamburger Hill" on Ap Bia Mountain in May of 1969. great movie about Vietnam. not as much "anti-war" as "anti STUPIDLY FOUGHT war" much like the 1957 drama Paths of Glory about the French in WWI. alludes to attitiude by many back in the US about the Solders and Marines that fought and died over there which I think was DISGUSTING.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Hard to keep me interested, and so many parts that were too unrealistic.  Doesn't live up to the originals at all.

Due Date was pretty good.  Big Robert Downey fan and he didn't disappoint.  Outside of Hangover, I can't stand that Zack Galifinackis, or however you spell his name.  But he was pretty funny in this movie.  I guess Todd Philips is the x-factor, for sure.

Oh, and Dinner for Schmucks had to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

The Social Network

Amazingly produced....well done

I loved how they focused on the startup of Facebook rather than the explosion and over-stimulation it provided in the past couple years.  I do remember signing up for the site when you NEEDED a college e-mail to sign up

The Black swan - wife's turn to pick the movie, stayed awake for the over rated lesbian scene, then fall asleep.... I do not recommend this movie

Knowing (2009)

some excellent CG FX disaster scenes BUT kind of goofy to follow AND the last third was just plain stupid depressing. started out looking like a pretty good "psychic thriller" BUT went down hill fast.
