MOVIE: Thor

Any review on this yet?

I was hoping you'd have one.  All I know is that they added a Foo Fighters tune to the movie at the last minute, which isn't really a good sign.  Whenever they're still tweaking a movie just a few weeks before street date, you're usually in trouble.

I plan on checking it out.

Foo Fighters might be an attempt toward the younger generation....

Most knowledgeable Thor fans have and were buying comics with him in it, going back to the Silver and Bronze age of comics... 1960s to 1980...

That being said, I think that as much as I've followed "preproduction" notes various places online, it seems and looks to be a quality movie.... Keep the faith...

That being said, is it time for me to brag about have every issue of Thor going back to Journey Into Mystery, missing only about 10 JIMs, and maybe 20 Thors, going up through #402, and JIM #403-#420...Annuals, etc...

Favorite title I have, except for my complete run of Avengers.....Volumes #1, #2, and #3 up to #50

Off topic, Dad bought me Avengers #1 for Christmas in 1974 for $20.

Last I checked in Fine condition, valued at around $4000 now...

I can only name a handful a realistically talented music acts since around '95...

Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Good Charlotte, a few others since then....

There are a few like Arcade Fire that I like that have emersed in the last 3 years...... we'll see if they can do better than the 1-2 album group 'Train" did... great outta the gate....then pssssst!

Wow. Just watched the trailer that I posted. I had seen others, probably before the movie was finished, but it looks great.

... Loki, and even The Destroyer in it, along with a cool setting of Asgard .... Hopkins obviously plays Odin in the flick...

I cant wait.....

It's called "Walk" and they're using it in some bar scene.  I like the trailer, and I like Brannagh's other movies.  We'll see.

Speaking of comics dennishopson, i saw a trailer for Green Lantern set for release june 17th. Suffice to say i have no clue who or what this comic book character is about. However, the previews looked like it could have a chance at Avatar-like special effects.

the studio is very unsure on this movie's success..on the other hand, they have already singed up for another capt america and its not coming out till june!! i guess it tested very well...im gonna watch it, fuck thor and green lantern tho...

Ryan Reynolds as a super hero spells disaster. Too goofy. WTF is w/ the casting of these comic book characters.

The potential of the actual storyline of Green Lantern is a cool one D_Unit...

Whether they pull it off will be another issue.

Capt America is as classic a hero story as Batman in my opinion.....

.... Always preffered Marvel heros though... I cant stand Chris Evans in general, but the trailer (imdb.com) that has Cap's arch enemy, The Red Skull looks good

Thor is a pretty good movie,action was pretty cool,Hemsworth did a decent job and there was some nice humour there too

When I saw the movie poster I actually thought the guy playing Thor was Matt Schulze from the 1st Fast and the Furious movie lol instead it's this unknown Australian

Seen it last night. I thought it was an all around great movie especially coming from a first time main actor. I enjoyed it more than any marvel movie thus far, Make sure to stay after the long credits.
