Lol i was surprised anyone on this site would like Silversun
Pickups but I've seen it mentioned in at least 2 different threads. My
favourite song by them is: Well Thought Out Twinkles - download it if
you can. They are DEFFINATELY NOT EMO, and I suggest you use more
caution when you throw around a charged word like that. examples of emo
bands: Dashboard Confessionals, Panic! at the Disco, Motion City
Soundtrack. Silversun Pickups fit nowhere in the emo or even screamo
category. They are an indie/alternative rock band more comparable to an
early Smashing Pumpkins sort of band.
Other than Well Thought Out Twinkles, I dont think there are any new
songs worth mentioning, I think Ill save that for when my Smashing
Pumpkins release their much anticipated album later in the year.

First wave of Emo was in the 80's...emo was short for "emotional hardcore", its a style of indie music, mixing punk and some other styles. Used to be about being independant, original and cutting edge..now every kid that dyes their hair, grows their bangs out, wears black clothes and stupid studded bracelets calls themselves emo. There are some good bands that fit into this category, I just hate the little shits that think they're great without knowing any of the history behind the musical movement!
