Best show ever. I'd really like to hear someone who has actually watched it all and doesn't like it. Or at least watched the first season through. If you don't know what's going on, it is confusing and it just seems like a lot of male frontals and death. Thats what I used to think when it originally aired and I watched it a random episode at a time. Then I finally got season 1 and watched it all the way through to the season 6 finale. The best show ever. I like it more than the Sopranos and Rome and Deadwood and Carnivale and I've seen them all through as well. The ending was perfect, and there is some great acting and storylines in this show. It even has its share of celebs: Rick Fox, LL Cool J, Luke Perry. Great show.

loved the show, the best part was that no one was too big for the show to get killed off, so you never knew what would happen..nice avatar adabissi...don't forget chuck zito was on it also..great show but not better than the sopranos

I'm a big SVU fan, and it took awhile for me to get around the visuals and disturbing stuff that Chistopher Meloni was doing to that guy that was in there for vehicular manslaughter (I think that was his original crime).....
......watched the first two seasons.......Pretty good show....

oz was the best show hbo ever had one...ever. period
oz, cye, then sopranos...and was a big step down to sopranos which will probably go down as the most overrated show ever. i hated that i had to watch the last 3 seasons b/c i was so fully vested in it

Oz was a FANTASTIC show.
******HERE BE SPOILERS******
I only wish that they had killed off Claire Howell. By the end of the show's run, I hated her way more than I ever hated Vern Schillinger.

I loved OZ too. Christopher Meloni's work on OZ is so much better than in Law and Order SVU in my opinion. Not that he sucks in SVU but I always felt he would go on to bigger and better things possibly in the big screen.
I liked OZ more than The Sopranos but not as much as the Wire because all the episodes were consistenly great and never disappointed. There were also some incredible, memorable dark charcters in OZ and plenty of plot twists. Great show.
Download and watch all of them if you haven't seen it. You're missing something great.

Oz was great but the storylines got more and more unbelievable as the series went on. I know you have to suspend belief a little but come on ... still, there were some phenomenal actors and I miss the show.

Just started watching this, only watched 3 episodes so far. I can tell it's going to be really good.
Regardless, The Wire is the best show ever on TV and there shouldn't even be an argument.

O'Reilly was the greatest character in tv history. Oz was great, but it got bad by the last season. Seasons 1 and 4.1 were my favorite in the show. Alvarez going person in the last episode pissed me off though.

PS: OI see where HAROLD PERRINEAU (Augustus Hill in OZ) is now in the TV show The Unusuals, which I think is on ABC on Wed,. night.
Look at this great cast. Most of them have gone on to bigger and better things:
From Wikepedia:
The large ensemble cast includes Eamonn Walker, Rita Moreno, Ernie Hudson, John Lurie, Terry Kinney, Betty Buckley, Kathryn Erbe, Christopher Meloni, Lee Tergesen, B. D. Wong, J. K. Simmons, Dean Winters, Scott William Winters, Kirk Acevedo, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Harold Perrineau Jr., Erik King, David Zayas, Lauren Vélez, and Edie Falco.
