Who thinks this would be a good idea?  Who thinks they could make it to the end?  Gambling is a billion dollar industry that has been expoited in casinos and internet, why not TV?

My idea is a reality tv show based in Las Vegas during the Football Season.  A group of degenerate gamblers (i include myself in that category) live in Las Vegas during the Football Season with a certain amount of money say $10,000.  The object is to live in Las Vegas with just what you can make on sports betting.  There will be different contest throughout the year to win more money "Weekly Challenge", but once you have gone broke you are sent home.  The show concludes after the superbowl with one winner.  The winner is the person who has the most money after the superbowl.  I know with my friends, if we were winning thousands of dollars between partying and the strip clubs it would make great tv.

They are looking to cast auditions sometime around may 2011 to be ready for the 2011 season.  Go to the Tru-TV website in may to see when and where the auditions are

My house on a Sunday would be a gambling reality show dream.

I'm high on pills and am a lunatic in my bedroom.  My grandpa is clueless and just bets the tv game favorite and over in a reverse.  My dad is watching the Giants as if he owns stock in the NY organization while my other Grandpa yaps all game about how bad the Giants are and how they are gonna lose.  My little brother is in his bedroom sweating out his 5 dollar parlays.  Upstairs my mother is cooking with my grandma who is cursing the world(the older she gets, the dirtier her mouth is).

It would also be educational in the fact that non-gamblers who watch the show get to see what degenerate gamblers act like when they are on betting dimes.  I have been there and the game is more like torture than enjoyment.  You know the feeling if you've been there.  I am confident anybody watching me at that moment would be insane to start gambling.

yea and the mood swing frm play to play LMAO.... its funny how something so insignificant can effect your life so much

As soon as I saw the promos for the show "The League"...I knew this would not be far behind

As much as the big sports want to pretend gambling isnt outside of Vegas...they know it is what drives their sports on a day to day basis

The gambling industry would never sign off on it.  They don't want the seedy side of the industry publicized for all to see.

Why not! All the other reality shows suck. Gamblers on the show would have to use their own $$$$. Who sweats with other ppl's $$$? You wanna see some real fun...let the gamblers interview the coaches/players who screw their bets up after the game. Fun Fo Sho!!! LOL

I suck at picking winners but I would be good for drama...I'd smash a tv after a loss..and take a crap in the hottub

I doubt they would pick the true degenerate types and would go for a certain look (younger, good looking) and certain personality who would make for good TV.  They would hope one takes a bad swing of course to see how they react, but they would want them to come back and rise up.

Nobody would be interested in watching the average degenerate you see in the local Vegas sportsbooks/race betting areas.  Those guys usually look pathetic and sad and sometimes homeless looking

But seriously folks... does it air with picks shown BEFORE or after the games have been played...

...cause I would not give a rats arse after the fact. Once a game is done it's time to move on...

 I don't wanna see an episode about Last Weeks games.

There was this show on Irish TV a few years. Something similar to what you mentioned above where 3 guys are trying to get a job setting odds for Irish bookmaker PaddyPower.com.The three were given various tasks over a couple of weeks period where they had to place bets & set lines and in the end the winner got a six month contract working at the firm.
