The Nats are better in every facet of this game. They have the better starter, Foster Griffin, who has given up 5 ER in his last 4 starts combined. They have the vastly better offense, who have scored 6 or more, in 7 of the last 10 games. And while this is rarely the case, they have the better bullpen. I don't know how KC stays in the game, cause they just can't score. Certainly not enough to hang with the bats of the Nats.
Atlanta Braves -1.5 +120
This line up gets Baldwin back tonight, so big time boost incoming. Maybe not immediately, but he was on a tear before getting hurt. Not that they have necessarily needed him. I don't know where the Giants offense comes from. They've had a couple big night recently, but for the most part, its 3 or less for these guys. Braves have a top tier bullpen, so if Holmes has another shorter outting, they shouldn't be in any trouble.
St. Louis Cardinals -1.5 +176
The Padres have a really big offensive problem. Manny Machado is hitting .177 on the year. Jackson Merrill, .205. They have two guys with double digit HRs. Dustin May nearly no hit them last night. It's a mess in San Diego. Pallante has been great as of late, and there is no reason to believe that he doesn't want to try and emulate what May did last night. The Cards offense is coming from a variety of places right now, but Burleson and Walker are the main pieces, and they are hotter than the fires of hell right now. Since May went the distance last night, Cards have free reign of the pen tonight, on a perfect baseball evening in St. Louis.
Rockies/Cubs Over 10.5 +112
Wind blowing out to right at nearly a 20mph clip for the game. Neither pitcher or bullpen can be trusted. The Rockies offense is firing hot right now, and the Cubs are starting to hit a bit again too. I don't know how this doesn't get to the mid teens, so I bumped the total a run to get plus odds.
