I give a rating of 77 for Kirby and 161 for Bieber - typically the lower the number the better you are on paper - these ratings are based on the regular season. Kirby had more strikeouts than Innings pitched a very good sign for a pitcher. Last game out Kirby took the loss against these Blue Jays.
Bieber started 7 games in the regular season - 37 strikeouts in 40 i.pitched. However, last gm out in the playoffs (Oct 15) he pitched 6 innings and had 8 strikeouts while away in Sea and got the win. Probably his best start this season. I think Bieber is on the upswing and getting back to what we saw when he was stellar for Clev.
The oddsmakers put 120 on this game and made Toronto the favorite. I simply use the opening line and the ratings and try to predict winners.
Based on a rating where the away pitcher has a rating of 77 and the home team Pitcher having 161 and being favored by 120 - the numbers I collect indicate Toronto should take it and possibly by more than 1 run.
