ROCKIES BETTING ANGLE

I have posted this in other threads but have made a nice little mint on it.  If you go against the Rockies every game you will have won a TON more than lost, obviously.  But even with 105 losses the price to play against them is always going to be expensive.  BUT...they have lost an INSANE amount of those 105 games by MORE than 1 run, despite which ballpark they play in.  In fact, they are a mere 17-20 in ONE RUN games meaning- doing simple math here- they have lost 85 games by more than one run.  Think about that...most teams don't even lose 85 games let alone lose them by 2+ runs.

It's not 100% obviously, but is a money maker week after week and will be for the remainder of the season.  You will give back some coin in the occasional wins but you will not be as exposed as playing against them on the ML and, tbh, they have only lost 20 games so far that don't fit into this situation which is meager given how awful they are.

Just wanted to share this angle as well 

COL is 60-85 on the RL for -20.95 units and -13.14% ROI

LAD is 61-83 on the RL for -23.00 units and -13.53% ROI

COL at home on the RL is 31-44 for -8.95 units and -10.97% ROI

LAD on the road on the RL is 29-42 for -13.50 units and -15.82% ROI

In this series and this late in the season with COL not having anything to play for and LAD still battling for their spot — maybe this is better than it normally would be.  
But it by no means has been a situation to blindly take LAD on the RL in this situation.

Also is that 85 number correct?  One search says 54?

Either way they are awful and do get blown out a lot.  
But I think you have to pick the spots and not blindly do it to be profitable. 

I like that Colo is 6-32 va lefties and 11-33 vs the west and dodgers are in battle for first place

Yes, it is correct.  No better place to look for those stats than MLB.com.  They have only lost 20 games by ONE run which, after subtracting from their overall 105 losses, leaves 85 losses by more than one run.  Another analytic which says the same thing is that 81% of their losses have been by more than one run.  

Just sharing this in a sport where the analytics should be the basis for your wagering (given bullpens, errors, and horrible umpiring), this is one I might ride the rest of the way.

 Yessir. But just do not forget to take into account their very few wins as well. 
So, around 85W and 60L   
Not sure exactly the average juice on the losses.  But it would have to be better than -142 or so to break even I think.  
I would be curious to see if they are hitting this better in say — the last 1/4 of the season. 

Looks like another good call LA. BTW the 1H over play across the board looks to be waning. But a great ride while it lasted.
