I guess thats why the Phils couldn't resign him because it wasn't about money?The guy and his agent are most certainly looking for a huge money deal and thats the main objective.

Getting Lee would be a robbery...the others...not so much.
Also...Lee never wanted out of Philly (ate beeg sity). I heard an interview with him after the fact and he was PISSED to be traded from there, especially to a losing team. Now he can either stay with Texas...or go to the Yankees for more money and play for a team who will always have more money and will always put out a team that can win on any given day.
Remember...you didn't start the season with Lee. You gave up your biggest possession in Smoak to get him. If the Yanks were to do that, it would be no big deal.

Why don't you ask Lackey what his motive behind leaving the Angels to go to the team that he beat in the ALDS that season?
Okay dude the Phils approached Lee and his agent initially about resigning and all indications according to the Phils GM Amaro was that Lee was not interested unless there was one of those Sabathia type numbersin years and money.Was not going to happen so then the Phils resumed their pursuit of Halladay AFTER they knew that money was the agents and players main goal.And I love Cliff Lee so I am not being partial here.
