My 20th season at Covers will probably be my last. My health is declining and frankly, after that many years so is my interest. NOT in baseball or the few friends I have made here, but overall this, and other forums like it are basically a waste of time, and that gains meaning when you probably have less of it to spare. Oh well, perhaps we can have one more season of frustration with each other. I have had some good, and bad, seasons, but always under ONE moniker. Those on their third, fourth or fifth registration have no room to criticize anyone for anything, so just STFU and enjoy those you like.
As always, every pick will be a $100 FLAT wager and results will be rated by Return on Risk (RoR), which is the only true gauge of success in baseball. W/L records are meaningless without it. If your choice is to admire a guy for going 7-3 and losing money on -200+ favorites, well, this country is still free as far as that goes. Your money, your choice. Trolls will be ignored.
Just to kick something out there for discussion here are my only future plays at this point.
Red Sox OVER 87.5, -110
Astros UNDER 85.5, -110
Kick that around, pro or con, and I may add my reasons later, but I am interested in friends or foes opinions.
BOL to everyone.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn
