Why do pitching managers leave pitchers in with 90 pitches thrown and wait for them to toss back to back home runs?

Usually pitchers have a 100 pitch count limit.

You're complaining about a manager leaving a guy in when they're up 6 runs?

You should complain when it's a close game and the pitcher walks 4 batters in a row and the manager leaves him in to face a designated hitter.

@cbbanalysts&#xA; They must have a better reason than that.  Cease had thrown 90 pitches and gave up a home run, and then they left him in.  Seems illogical.

Pitching match ups. Maybe Cease has owned a hitter.&#xA;Save the bullpen. &#xA;Cease needs X amount of innings for a bonus. &#xA;Manager is a dumb ??.

Padres were up by 6 runs and unless u had Pads -4.5, shouldn&#x2019;t b an issue .
