Let me leave you with this thought.......Lay 255 with Pavano against a team that is 3-13 on the road.... Or lay 220 with Halladay (Without a closer) against a team that is 18-10 this year.....I would rather lay 255 with Pavano against Baltimore than to lay 220 with Halladay against the Cards.
Didn't the Royals suck a couple of weeks ago until their bats found Pavano? He didn't last 4 innings against them.
If you take a Cy Young price about average pitchers then you cannot complain when you lose. How the hell is Pavano worth -255? I wouldn't take that price about him in single A ball.
P.S If you had half a clue you would know that Halladay takes the need for a closer out of the equation 9 times out of 10. Halladay would be -250 against Pavano.
Let me leave you with this thought. By all means, be my guest and lay the -255 about a guy who has won 26 games in 5 years and is 3 wins above .500 in his career. -250 shots never lose in baseball.
There are smart investments and not so smart investments, and taking -255 about Pavano falls in the " not so smart " category. Yes, he might win, but where is the value? Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.
P.P.S That -220 about Doc is looking mighty fine right about now

Great call. I cannot take 2/1 the O's but I would never lay -250 about Pavano. Even if he was pitching in his parents back yard. The guy is 83-80 and you want to lay -250 about him. Your bookie will love you.

MN has been known to throw up a turd against a bad pitcher, but they are a top 4-5 offense in baseball.....and that is after sucking with the bases loaded and generally with RISP. And they have made only 6 errors....pretty sick.
I can't play Pavano at that price, though. Twins coming off a big series......and Pavano is capable of shitting the bed about every 3 or 4 starts. I'll have to sit back and watch. GL to all that bet it.
