I don't like Garza versus anybody. 5-10 h2h and 4-11 for quality starts this year. Billingsley off the DL with an offense starting to gel. Coin flip, can't lay juice, don't like the dog, BOL

I think the key to this game will be Desmond and the bullpens. Desmond has been known as a wild man at shortstop. He has made 18 errors this year and if I were pitching I wouldn't want this guy behind me in a key position. He's too flashy and he tries to look good rather than being a moneyman and make the play safely. I would much rather have a guy like Tulo or Mercer at short because they care more about the team rather than how they look. After nearly throwing back to back no-hitters, Scherzer looks invincible, but he can't go the distance in every single game. Washington's bullpen has been shaky at times and I wouldn't trust them in a pinch. They traded one of their best relievers to Oakland in Tyler Clippard and I glad I picked him up on my fantasy team. There is too much juice and I just can't see betting on Washington. Sorry

None of that matters if the Nats score 5.

He's not playing today...Danny Espinosa will be the shortstop.

    Best of luck, Key. ;)

ty keys for not making a play on mil/phi today.  I rode with you on phi and we both loss.

Today, it is pay back time.  I'll get it back keys for I added mil to my parlay.  Don't mind the 7/3 tennis games for I think those are automatic win.

For 21x odds, this is what I am still waiting on.  Wish me luck.

ty keys for not making a play on mil/phi today.  I rode with you on phi and we both loss.

Today, it is pay back time.  I'll get it back keys for I added mil to my parlay.  Don't mind the 7/3 tennis games for I think those are automatic win.

For 21x odds, this is what I am still waiting on.  Wish me luck.

Hey Key, just saw this... I got the WSox+1.5 @ -101  middle of the second inning when cards were up 1-0.  I definitely dodged a bullet going all in like that.   I rarely touch the +1.5 run lines because of the juice as well.. but road dogs are covering the +1.5  63% of the time,  so laying the juice is sometimes justified.  Thanks for all your Hard Work GL

Another thing is Atlanta is hitting over 300 against Scherzer with only one home run. They have only 3 left-handed hitters in the starting lineup without Freeman. This pitcher for the Braves has been tearing up the minor leagues and he was with the Yankees once who compared him to Andy Pettite. He is a big ? In this game. I think he will be pumped up by playing the number 1 team in their division and he will pitch well. I would not fade this guy.

Hard to believe it's possible but some of the posts get dumber and dumber around here. Kid has been "tearing up" minors? Why don't you actually look at his stats before you make a statement like that. It's not correct.

Also who are you to judge a guys mindset let alone his mental acuity? "Guy is gonna be fired up"

Good lord no wonder key get so frustrated with you guys.

You may have answered this, but what do you ya think about KC.? Minnys numbers are crap vs Young (nobody in the starting lineup above .200) Royals @ home and have solid numbers vs Ginson.....

Royals are the better side but that is too much juice to carry and they really need to get their feet back under them after the disaster at Houston. Young is the right guy to settle things down, but let's give them a day and see what develops.

Next question. Why ask? If I liked either side it would be posted. I handicap every game on the board every day, if I don't like it, it ain't there.

Do some guys think I have missed a good play by inattention or getting to a certain spot in the card and quitting?

I dont know why others ask or why you would be upset by a question. Ive been here longer than almost anybody and I learn new stuff all the time. I ask so I can find out WHY you passed on a game. Its easy to explain why you like a side in a particualr game, but to give a reason to pass on the game entirely is a bit tougher imo. I'm sure a lot of times it comes down to if the juice is worth the squeeze, which in KCs game tonight you have decided it is not. Obviously you have looked at stats/pitching and whatever other angles you use to determine plays. Any info i can obtain from someone thats done their homework is very valuable.

I'm here for info and fun, sorry if that upsets you.

Banuelos, who was acquired in an offseason trade with the New York Yankees, is putting together a strong season at Triple-A Gwinnett with a 6-2 record and 2.29 ERA. The 23-year-old Mexican, who missed most of 2012 and all of the 2013 season due to Tommy John surgery, has a 1.59 ERA in his last 11 starts, including a two-hit shutout on June 22. Opponents are hitting .215 against Banuelos, who has given up only two homers.

So, idealist, you are saying that 6-2 record and 2.29 ERA is lousy?

I've already commented on this game earlier in this thread but you may want to dig deeper and take a look at his bb rare instead of just looking at worthless stats like w/l. His bb rate has been pretty horrid at every level for the past 4 years. You can get away with that stuff in aaa but this ain't aaa

This guy, idealist, has a dozen posts! He thinks that he is an expert and everybody else is wrong and he has nothing to show, no proof, no facts. He just comes in and criticizes people because of the way he feels. The game of baseball is just that. Johnny Vandermeer was better than Scherzer, right? He did something that Scherzer failed to do! He threw back to back no-hitters so that makes him a better pitcher than Scherzer according to idealist because he knows everything. WRONG! of course. This guy will tell you that shiit flows up too, if you ask him
