These are not the August Busch days when the Cardinals were the best organization in baseball. They have slipped and are fighting their way back. Neither team was impressive in 2025, but I don’t hold the Rays SOS against them quite like the Cards. In the AL East even the 4 and 5 teams show merit. Rasmussen is top gun material, and I can’t see Liberatore in quite the same light. Offense should be medium-weak in this one so I have to place my faith (hope?) in the more likely of the two staffs, especially the starters that set the pace.

Ah yes, springtime in Chicago. If you don't like the weather stick around ten minutes, it will change! I have to agree with you on Cubs-Boyd. It SHOULD happen, but that doesn't mean it WILL happen. Not worth 50 cents on the buck of risk.

Yeah, I was probably a little unfair with that, but Webb has been known to have some very short outings; just one of those guys if you are going to get to him do it early. That is what I felt about yesterday and let it spill over into the write up.
