Every Professional League is fixed. That includes MLB of course!

This is what MLB is trying to have on the headlines for the World Series.....

    Roy Halladay vs Cliff Lee

Was Phillies correct in choosing Roy Halladay ove Cliff Lee?

expect Phillies to win both games....

If I recall, Rangers have hit Halladay a few times when he pitched for Jays and they REALLY ROCKED Oswalt here this summer. REALLY DESTROYED him so bad we decided not to go after him. Oswalt was in a real slump then though

If it was fixed, which is laughable at best, Yanks would have won this one and set up a classic Game 7 with Lee and Andy P. Would have made the league, the networks, and the teams more money. Doesn't work that way. If it did every series would go the distance, and ask the NBA, which is struggling to make it, they usually don't.

if there was any sort of fix, which there wasn't, the yankees would be the beneficiaries. If Cliff Lee had pitched 3 perfect games in the playoffs already, the ratings MLB would get from the Yankees in the World Series would completely dwarf the ratings the Rangers would get in the World Series. Nobody outside of Texas (excluding sports bettors) cares AT ALL about the Texas Rangers, there's no sex appeal, not enough reason for a casual sports fan to tune into their game for 4 hours. People from all around the world care about the New York Yankees, people in Japan who can't name 2 other MLB teams would tune into a Yankee world series game just because of how many titles they've won along with the brand recognition. I'm sorry man, but there's literally no possible way the Texas Rangers won this ALCS due to a fix.

Guys you're always saying that attendance mean a lot to the league that is why the Yankees should have been the beneficiaries of the fixes...that is not true! The league gets their money from gambling! Even if stadiums are empty, MLB will still be there..Revenues from attendance and advertisements are only a plus to them...

A full packed stadium with all of it's revenues are just bonuses to gambling? Television rights with expensive ass commercials are just bonuses?

Yes, and I'm sure they wanted a Tampa Bay V. Philly World Series 2 years ago. Please go away.

Stick with your NBA, now those series are fixed, no if's, ands or butts about it, that's PROVEN. In MLB, you can't prove anything about the fix is in. I will go out on a limb and say. The World Series WILL NOT come down to a Game 7, Lee versus  Halladay. Let's watch and let it play itself out.

I never said that it will go down to game 7..I said Phillies will go up against Texas in the WS because of the Halladay and Lee match up.

But of course I might be wrong...

Try bringing Texas and Yankees outside of the league and let them play as them....Texas won't win I assure you that...That is how players are paid, they are paid to deliver what is asked of them with the help of officiating...

Anyway, let's stop this nonsense...I just said what i believe...peace!

Was Phillies correct in choosing Roy Halladay ove Cliff Lee?

expect Phillies to win both games....

You are wrong, even if it does end up Texas vs Phillies world series. If that is your reasoning then how do you explain a couple years ago when the dodgers acquired Manny Ramirez from the Red Sox, the storybook world series woulda been Dodgers/ Red Sox. That matchup would have made the MLB MEGA money, but it ended up Philly and Tampa Bay. Its not fixed.

if the NBA series were fixed, why would the SPURS win 4 times in a decade...? The KNICKS, who are in the biggest sports market, havent won in almost 40 years...? Does that make any sense...?

covas, if you have read my thread, its not about mega money because of matchups...MLB can setup a Tampa Bay vs Nats series if they want to...the league won't care about attendance or viewers...It is how they manipulate all the games throughout the year to see to it that gamblers lose in the long run...it includes fake injuries, exaggerated lines and many more....

Btw, the Phillies vs Texas is just my hint...no facts to support it...

    Just to share a link:
    https://sportsgambling.about.com/od/advancedtheory/a/bettorslose.htm

"It's a widely known concept that the vast majority of sports bettors are going to lose money. The most popular is that 90-percent of sports gamblers will lose money over the course of the year, but that doesn't stop people from wagering on sports. When those bettors eventually go broke and cannot wager any more, there's always somebody else waiting to take their place in line."

A stadium fills up a maximum of 80,000?
How about the number of people who bet in 1 day??? ...could be millions....

Spurs may win in a span of 10 years or more if the league wants to....But have you counted the number of times they cleared the spread? That is called game manipulation....peace!

leagues get money from television revenues.  Just ask the BCS!!  if the fixes were in, there would be leaks if you are saying all sports are involved.  Maybe MMA or golf where less people are involved, but team sports?????

alright, tell us how the league does the fixing.

Go ahead, tell us step by step...from where it begins to how the players get the information.

If Philly wins, it will be Cliff  Lee V. Joel Blanton in game one. If Giants win, it's Little Timmy V. Lee in game one
