Well a forgettable Monday going 0-2-1 in baseball and also had the Under in MNF which was over half way thru the 2nd quarter. C'mon, tease me a little before I get crushed will ya??
Hopefully better results this evening.
Texas -128. Though about the Under 11.5, but with the Ranger bats, you just never know when they will put up multiple runs in any inning. Last night was a good example as the Under looked strong thru 5 and then Texas went nuts. I'l counting on a similar occurence tonight vs a mediocre Zach Miner. Despite reasonable numbers on the road, Miner is very hittable and the Rangers could have a field day tonight as they are hitting +.333 vs RHP in their most recent 5. At home, Texas averages .299 vs RHP. Kevin Millwoods home numbers are equally mediocre but does have a 5-3 home marker. Home ump Angel Hernandez has a ridiculous bias towards the home squads with a 24-8 record. Tiger bats are not doing a lot of late vs RHP (south of .250) so I like the Rangers to come out swinging and get Millwood a win. We KNOW the home ump with comply as best he can.
Los Angeles (NL) -175. Yes, I know, a lot of wood to lay on the road team. However, the Dodgers have not lost when Lowe is on the mound vs Pittsburgh dating back to 2003 when he was whiney Red Sox. The Pirates, # 3 in the pro sports pecking order in Steel Town are a woeful. Jeff Karstens burst on the scene with 2 excellent starts but has regressed to the point where he is just another failed reclamation project. With an 0-4 home record and +6 ERA, I drinking the juice on Mr Lowe tonight. LA bats are hitting +.300 lately and I expect Lowe to ground ball the Pirates to death.
Boston -145. Red Sox can go for the juggular tonight vs the confoosed Tampa Bay Rays. Another road favourite play, but I think Beckett will be out for blood tonight. Rays got a win against him in Boston last week and he looks to return the favour. Since coming off the DL, Becket has given up 1 and 2 runs respectively.
The man is nasty when on. Andy Sonnastine goes for Tampa and did dueled Beckett to get his team a win. He is a very respectable 7-3 at home with an ERA just under 5. Red Sox make a statement in Tampa tonight.
Dumb luck parlay.
