First, we need Griffin to start strong. No early walks, no long innings, and get through Wilson, Soderstrom, Langeliers and Heim without crooked numbers. A clean first inning would be huge because Oakland’s lineup drops off after that top section.

Then Washington needs to make Lopez work. Do not let him steal quick innings. We want patient at-bats, traffic on the bases and his pitch count climbing

If the Nats first 5 cashes I’m all over the dodgers for theate game tonight. Yankees are reeling and their bullpen is taxed. The Dodgers will kill them tonight. I’m think RUN LINE

Lv any thoughts at all on Detroit reason I'm asking is I got Washington in but I parlayed it with Detroit ? Should I get out ?

No, not at all. I liked Detroit. In fact, Detroit full game was my second-highest-rated position.

Washington first five was my anchor, so I decided to build around that instead of spreading myself across multiple games. That does not mean I got off Detroit. I still like it. I do not know if Detroit wins, and I do not know if Washington wins. I just know how I chose to play it.

All we really need is 

Washington absolutely pounds Lopez through the first four innings and Griffin holding Oakland down

Two outs, runners on first and second, and his pitch count is climbing. One hit here changes the entire inning

Damnit! Pissed we couldn’t get anything there 

Stranding two runners stings, but 25 pitches in the first is still a win for the cap. Lopez showed the command issues expected and cannot keep surviving innings like that 

Now Griffin needs a clean zero and a quick inning. Get Washington right back to the plate

Wilson got the hit, but Griffin still handled the solid top of Oakland’s order and escaped scoreless on only seven pitches

The first inning may not have gone our way on the scoreboard, but it definitely went our way. Lopez needed 25 pitches, Griffin cruised through on seven. Now let’s get these bats going

Lopez answered with a 10-pitch second inning, so he settled down. But he is still at 35 pitches through two, with 15 balls and only a 57% strike rate.

He is basically living on the slider and fastball, so Washington should have a much better read the second time through. Now Griffin needs another zero and we get the top of the order back against Lopez.

Can we get some runs here! Griffin looks really good, just wanna bang across like 3 here
