Couple thoughts

Lugo is giving up loud contact. Baseball Savant has him at 90.3 avg exit velo allowed, 42.4% hard-hit rate, 10.4% barrel rate, .338 wOBA and .352 xwOBA. That is not clean contact pro 

The recent Rays matchup was ugly. Tampa beat KC 13-2, had 15 hits, four homers, and Lugo allowed 7 earned on 7 hits in 5 innings

 In his first start back from the concussion IL, he went six innings against St. Louis but had zero strikeouts, then only struck out three in five innings against Tampa

Lugo’s pro isa contact risk. He’s allowing hard contact, barrels, fly balls, and the strikeouts have not been there recently. Tampa just saw him, tagged him for seven earned in five, and now sends a lineup with real left-handed pressure plus Yandy/Caminero at the top

My main position is Tampa Bay first five innings, but after breaking this game down all day, I’m juiced up -145 and also have a smaller position on the fullgame moneyline.

The bats are there, and if we get after Lugo early like I expect, we’ll be in a good spot. Kansas City’s bullpen was used yesterday so sure -145 seems smart haha
