Martinez looked a little shaky in the first inning, no doubt. Arizona got the solo homer and a triple, so there was some early hard contact.

But since then, he’s settled in nicely. He’s not walking anybody, he’s keeping his pitch count low, and he’s mixing his pitches better instead of just trying to force fastballs. That’s why the second and third innings looked a lot cleaner

He’s done his job, but now Tampa can’t let him get burned trying to squeeze one extra out.

Martinez gave us everything we needed

Martinez did his job. He got us the first five cash, carried the lead into the 6th, but once it got to first and second, two outs, 85 pitches, there was no reason to let him wear one more mistake.

Now Boozer’s job is simple

Gallen at 63 pitches with a man on second and no outs, this may be the last real chance to tag him before Arizona goes to the pen.

 Gallen got some batted ball luck, with zero Ks lol but limited his walks and put up a quality start. Tip the cap , he was dead and buried coming in waiting for the final bell.
