DELAWARE RACE 6 #2 SYNERGISM ML 5-2..this filly can't continue to go wide & give up ground down the stretch. Hopefully, Paco can keep this one focused for Jaime Ness today. 3 scratches from the 11 fillies brings this down to a field of 8 that won't help the price on this girl.

Damn...Paco had this girl all over the track coming into the stretch!
He had her sitting 2nd patiently waiting & then took over at the half mile pole. Paco kept on looking behind him & between his legs to see who was coming after him. #11 was to his outside & made a small move but #1 was sneaking up the rail. So Paco took Synergism from maybe about 6 wide to probably lane 3 spooking #1 just a little bit IMO.
She was banged down from 5/2 to Even money & won by about 2. Paco's been getting some nice pickup mounts when he isn't cashing checks from trainer Kelly Breen at Monmouth.
Having said that, this fucker is dangerous. He recently got off a 6 month suspension I think for over using his whip. He's been suspended 6 times & sanctioned 20 times with 2 to 5 day suspensions. He got his ass kicked after causing a 4 horse spill @ Gulfstream about 7 years ago. Just 4 years ago he caused a spill in the Fountain of Youth at Gulfstream where Rosario & Junior were thrown off their mounts because Paco tried to go through a hole that didn't exist.
Other jocks are usually aware of where he is in a race & frankly stay away from him if possible. Hell, Brian Hernandez, Dylan Davis & Declan Cannon have come back from serious injuries due to spills. It was either Hernandez or Davis who broke 8 ribs & punctured a lung.
Some trainers refuse to use Paco because he has a tendency to put horses in bad situations & they don't return to the barn too well after getting banged around during the race. He's a fierce competitor but I wouldn't let him ride for me.

Not much for Paco. Another poster here called him stupid (twice). Case in point this years Preakness.
He is on the reride with Napolean Solo, a grade one winner as 2yo, the only grade one winner in the weakest Preakness ever?
Chad states pre-race that he "cannot envision a scenario where "Nap" will NOT be on the lead turning for home"
Colt walks pastthe leader, on the f..ing turn no less, then paco starts looking around, sightseeing one capable capper related, colt drifts two paths to the rail, worse
right handed stick... enough. "Nap would have been 5-2 with a dozen or more jocks.
