THE SPA SCRATCH
Speaking of Spa scratches, keep an eye on this one:
Saratoga - Race 2
#1 NO BURN (15/1 ml) ***Scratched***
I just checked the scratches and see that NO BURN has been scratched, but I'm including the write-up anyway because of his 15/1 ml price and the fact I found some good information on him. Tab for next time. NO BURN began his series by working heads-up with JANE GREY, who won her only start at Saratoga last September. About a month later, NO BURN worked with the older stakes winner MODERNIST, which is obviously a great sign. Most recently, he worked with BIG BOBBY, who won at Belmont on May 31 after running second behind the unbeaten stakes winner RIVER DOG in his debut. Very interesting horse here; check to see if he's entered for a tag next time (he was entered for a $75,000 tag today).

Impressive Race 1 winner SHIPSATIONAL had worked a couple of times with TRIUMPHANT ROAD, so there's another one to watch.

Following up on this one, he's been entered back on Friday's card. Note that he is **not** entered for a tag this time (as mentioned above). Probably a good sign.
For those interested, I have a pair of selections on my Saratoga card today, including a longshot first-time starter.

NO BURN went off at 8/1 odds and led most of the way, but tired late and finished off the board.
