Muddy track in Saratoga results in plenty of scratches today.

Race 2 #4 Mindfield ML 7/2 is a first timer for trainer Mark Casse. Casse has 24 races today at 5 different tracks. He's high on this 2 year colt but not sure if he'll like the mud.

Have a few more later today. BOL to all... 

Thought we had a winner turning for home. He looked pretty good for a 1st timer but Jose Ortiz/Linda Rice combo caught him in the stretch. Went off @ 5-1

This guy goes in the stable.

The track has been upgraded from muddy to good.

Race 3 is another 2 year old MSW crapshoot. I'll try a 5-7 exacta box.

Jose Ortiz will try to win the DD on #4.

Ortiz caught #7 cashing a $42 DD.

#5 didn't fire at all.

Race 4 tri key 2 with 567

Linda Rice has warmed up as expected.

2 won as expected & 6 ran 2nd but 5 & 7 weren't close. That's 2 winners for Rice.

Race 5 has 2 big scratches including the ML favorite #8. I'll pass here.

Race 6 with 4 scratches leaves a 5 horse field so I pass again.

Although, #8 Tumoohaat is highly regarded.

RACE 8 ..we have another 2 year old colts in a MSW & thankfully we have  going

#2..Prat/Brown combo

#3 is a nice Gun Runner colt for Brad Cox & Junior picks up the mount due to Irad's injury. He's got a bullet on 8/1 best of 29 going 5F in 1:00. Ready to fire?

#4..trainer Amelia Green has entered quite a few in the meet but only winning @ 10%

#5..has 2 nice works for trainer Chad Summers who is 0-15. Saez gets up

#6..Franco/Pletcher/Winstar/Flightline is the Daddy.

#7..makes his 3rd try & has been well bet. Asmussen/Santana has been en fuego in the past. 

#8 SCRATCHED

#9..a roan out of Liam's Map for Kenny McPeek. Not a big fan of jock Chris Elliot

#10..trainer Kinnon LaRose inherited the barn of Tom Amoss & is wining @ 19% . Has a couple of nice works

RACE 9...I have a STABLE PLAY on #6 Minaret. He'll be closing & can't let Prat try to steal it on the lead. Javier on #3 can go with Prat & that would be ideal for Jose to catch them both with #6.

The last race @ Saratoga has 4 runners & 8 scratches. But guess who has a runner...that's right, we have a 

HONK FOR DONK PLAY ON #5 

2nd time today I thought we had a winner only to get caught. #6 Minarite ran a real good race but Ortiz caught him.

Damn..I didn't see #7 on the outside gaining & maybe Ortiz didn't either. 

RACE 10 has 8 3 year old fillies going for a piece of 200k

 Don't know what to think about #1. Comes in from Monmouth #2 has been away since January but was right there in every race before the layoff. #3 & 4 are trained by Joe Sharp. #5 is 7 of 8 ITM for Cox/Franco. #6 Prat picks up the Irad mount who won both tries @ Woodbine. #7 is stepping up here but did win her last. #8 has won 7 of 11 but her last 2 were ehhhh.

#5 Cadenza broke last about 5 lengths behind & all of a sudden a yellow silk was passing every filly coming about 6 wide. She won convincingly. Franco rode her very confidently because he knew what he was sitting on.

Nice exacta 5-2 paid $100.14

RACE 12 is a joke leaving 4 to race after 8 others scratched.
