After reviewing the condition book. a pair of nine panel turf heats, a straight maiden and a cheap two turn claimer I posted a 20-1 score was very possible.
Then I got the DRF.
No money to be had. Bet a small ticket with decent confidence.
Leg one, the maiden, scratched down to four runners, could have gone anyway. Did OK with the third choice winning @ $8. Would note that Mandella's colt by Into Mischief out of 4.2 million dollar mare who won three Grade ones, off at a frigid 10-1 was given the race and thinkin wherever papa bear runs him next he wins.
leg two was very much according to forecast. Two horse heat, public aware, great great ride by Hector, waiting while pinning in the best horse during stretch who would have won otherwise. Clever on clever for a terrific rider on the sod.
