9)  Ryan's 170K Uncle Mo is bred for speed and has certainly shown such in his am drills.  Solid six panels Monday should have him fit enough.  Adding Helicity who has tried to win against better and will be closing.

10) Not thrilled with this ubiquitous inclusion of North Cal nickel claimers so took a trio 1,5,11

11) Liking another debut sort here with Carla's 4yo Om gelding who has flashed real morning speed repeatedly.  She went decades and rarely won first out, the started trining for Harris operation that demands to win early, lures top boy who is fabulous up front, chestnut flashed am speed as a sophomore before benched.  Also, Alexis' homer off the fence who has races that would win here, switch to best turf boy on the circuit a major plus off the fence.  Good news with derby draw exacta just perfect.   1,3,4,7,9 / 2,10  / 1,5,11  /  1,6   bbb

8)  Not much meat on this bone, as evidenced by grabbing a quintet, although we run 1,2,3,4,5, race fave beats us in a picture over an 8-1 shot. Would have made the subsequent legs more interesting.  Non-winners 2, bottom usually very formfull.

9)  Maiden, 6f, green always a contentious heat, this one no different.  Pretty ride by the soft handed, consistent boy.  Helicity (6.80) looked odds on at the quarter pole then lugged in for an eighth of a mile.  Fresu doesn't try to correct with a left-handed crop (most riders do) instead he stretches his right arm out, twice in five strides, solid horsemanship, the hand road to score.  Really wanted the Uncle Mo firster here who showed a pair of monster gate drills, before six panel breeze in sub 1:12. a week out.  In an oddity, the boy was interviewed prior to the race (" he really fast, but does not break good"), sure enough, bumped, blocked, stalked, bid inside, held well.  Clearly not a maiden for long for the wagon wheel estate.

10)  Restricted nickel claimers, No Cal sorts had only three possible winners, so took them and moved on.  "Chieftain ($11.40)   wins very easy as he did two back.  Posted previously here was the tenet that horses that are blown away seldom run well next out, and while true an exception may be older cheaper claimers going long.  For Chief"  he ran into a bunch of aisle 9 shopping carts into the first turn in his last while moving up in class and adding fronts.  The boy wrapped up leading to the 20 length drubbing.

11) Staters, mile, lawn, c's and g's, ANNAN laid all over this bunch tho no surprise at 6-5.  The rider switch was 5 lengths in itself. Shopped with the Om firster, tho a 4yo gelding (early) was working bullets.  Alas very reluctant at gate, ran huge, another that will not be a maiden long.  Played a good ticket, phot in leg one, both debut runners compromised, still a modest cash.  Playing an Oaks/Derby double with some confidence, and a Derby exacta to boot, post prior.  bbb
