Rarely does Baffert mis-manage one yet this million dollar "Mischief colt may qualify. Debuted February in hot springs, ran a hundred plus beyer, the put back into the Ark derby where torrid speed duel cooked his chances. Then inexplicably back to Cali before 1x trip to NY??? That ended his 3yo campaign until late December when trained up yto the G1 Malibu, flipped in paddock... auto scratch. Last day in January allowance score points this colt out today; tough grpou, short price yet will single here.
7) Very odd heat here 30K claimer nw3 with most having never been a mile! Taking the three outside entrants even with a big rail as nothing here would surprise us.
8) From a seldom run heat to one thats run everyday in some manner. Could try and whittle down some yet the ten timer is long in the tooth (8yo) so spread seems plausible.
9) Taking three 2,4,9
$27 for a one unit play : 6 / 7,8,9 / 1,2,4,5,6,7 / 2,4 9 bbb

Began OK albeit at 30cents on the dollar when Cornucopian screamed 7/8's in 120 n change. No doubt we'll see this one derby week.
7) Strange heat as two are scratched at the gate, Miller's 6yo mare figured large if fit enough and works said likely, Fresu lays down 12's and its enough at $8.80.
8) One x or 20K for sale f&m heat always brings horses that have cleared this class and must be tagged to compete. Two well bet entrants fit that bill yet looked a bit off form so spread and "Clubhouse gets up for Ian. Gray filly a half to millionaire The Chosen Vron, beaten a neck in last at 30-1 returns $21.60
9) Thought the green and white homebred was long gone here yet she could not beat the vet so ended uo witha trio. "Princess, our best chance gets beat a half when blocked most of the stretch. Leonard wins it on a horse we touted March 8th as "sitting on a big race".
Hard to hit these on small tickets and do not make excuses yet there was an interesting email I received earlier in the day . A friend sent me the video of JOURNALISM earlier that day. He broke sticks in 59 and change looking the monster he is. Of note is the winner of the fifth yesterday, a one x/50K actually outworked Journalism on 3/22. Could not decide on playing the pick 4 or pick 5 and lacked some motivation after the race 5 winner paid $39.60. Ce la vie. bbb
