This sophomore crop is well below par as evident today with only a pair of graded winners of the fourteen entrants. Seems the "Man from Uncle lays all over these for Al Gold. Grade one winner has been compromised as a 3yo. Bad start in Hallandale and a dead short animal, then popped a blister on a heel missing th Arkansas Derby, rerouted for points to NY, drew the fence and ran out of training. Works of late are faster than these can run and at ten to one... the spoils will likely go to either Riley's plodder or Chad's Gotham winner sans shades. bbb
