I made a comment about that Golden tempo on my thread t.t.c. regarding his past two Friday workouts which were blazing bullets and yes he was the better horse today no doubt.beating as you mentioned commandment fair and square.peace_5

Golden Tempo is owned in a partnership between St. Elias Stable (run by Vinnie and Teresa Viola) and the historic Phipps Stable.

Because of this co-ownership, the horse's racing colors alternate between the two stables:

In the Kentucky Derby: Ortiz wore the legendary black-and-cherry-red colors of the Phipps Stable.

In the Belmont Stakes: Ortiz wore the dark green-and-white colors of St. Elias Stable
