As of April 29-30, 2026, the horse Golden Tempo is dealing with cracked heels on both front hoves, according to trainer Cherie DeVaux. While some reports mentioned them as "quarter cracks" or simply "cracked heels", the issue was considered manageable enough for the horse to continue training, though they required careful management leading up to the 2026 Kentucky Derby.
