first race at Gulfstream Park today

Really odd bettiing in this race the longest shot in the race 59 to 1 had over 21,000 bet on to show out of a pool of 28,000.  The horse ran 5th, the three betting favorites in the race ran 1-2-3 and paid 9.00, 10.00, and 11.00 to show. What was that all about!
