Race 3 my play #11 Laser Sharp scratched. Looking elsewhere, #4 Run Curtis Run is 8-0-4-2 going 7F & has that dangerous closing style but just can't seem to get there. Like Michael Dubb the owner & craft Mike Maker.
#5 has been the beaten chalk in 4 of his last 5. Irad stays onboard. #6 I like the Johnny V/Mark Henning combo. #7 tries 7F after tiring in his last going 5F as the chalk for Saez/Pletch/Repole. #8 stretches out here & is 14 of 17 ITM (in the money) #9 picks up Dettori but is 0 for 6 on the grass.
#3 missed by a nose as the chalk last time out & is the favorite again here as he too tries longer.
I'm making a small across the board play on #4 Run Curtis Run
Run Curtis Run came flying on the outside but had too much ground to make up & settled for 3rd @7-1 paying $5.00
Race 4 #1 Junior/Mott but not impressed. #2 is in real good form & ITM in her last 6 & likes the 7F distance. #3 gets Prat & an extra furlong. #4 ehhh. #5 has always been well bet for Lezcano/Rice & goes longer here. Line the Army Mule daddy. #6 hasn't won since last May. #7 has won 2 in a row for Joe Sharp & looks good here. #8 this girl has been claimed 4 times since December & is now in the Brad Cox barn. Tired her only time going 7F. #9 has won 2 of 20 but Johnny V/Mark Henning are always dangerous.
I think Dylan Davis gets the win here on #2 Embraceable Girl @ 6-1.
Chalky winners in the 4th with #7 Vehement winning her 3rd in a row for Joe Sharp; Army Girl running 2nd & my girl closing for 3rd.
Race 5 #1 hasn't won since 10/23; #2 last two were in the slop but on a fast track he's won & has two 2nd's for Prat/Brown; #3 has banked over 400k but hasn't won at this 1 1/8th distance in 6 tries; #4 first try for new barn after running 4th as the favorite; #5 ran 2nd in last 2 for Linda Rice; #6 heavily bet & won at first asking for & goes a little longer here. Love the Gun Runner breeding. One to beat IMO. #7 usual suspects here with Irad/Pletch/Repole, has banked 453k but has won only 1 of 11 & that was back in July of 23 @ the SPA. #8 always tries, likes the distance. Dangerous. #9 Interesting. Only 3 races under his belt & ran a decent 4th @ 1 3/16th in his last try. Shortens here & Mott is 17-1 here; #10 won his last & likes the distance with a sneaky good trainer in Abreu.
