4th of July Racing

Disappointed to see Gafflione is off his mounts again at Ellis Park. Was looking forward to seeing the local kid back in the saddle. Maybe tomorrow..

Not real excited about any of the cards today, so it will be a hit or miss kind of thing. Should see some rain at Gulfstream & small fields everywhere. I'll try a couple  today but tomorrow looks like a better day to make some bucks.

But #2 won the 2nd paying $8.90

Race 3 #6 War Stride ran a decent 2nd to Baby Yoda in his last; #1 Acoustic Avenue has won 2 in a row; #4 Shadow Dragon came 4 wide to win is last; #2 Over & Ollie is 2 for 2 at the SPA for new trainer Tricky Dicky Dutrow & picks up Irad.

Any of these 4 could win here but I don't know who. 

Yup..Irad & Tricky Dickey go gate to wire on #2 Over and Ollie @3-1

Easy winner makes him 3 for 3 at the SPA. #1 grabbed 2nd.

Small fields with chalky winners makes it tough to make some moolah.

#1 is a 1st timer; #2 been away 5 months; #3 0 for7; #4 4th in last; #5 has been well bet in both tries but was dull; #6 ships on from England 4-0-1-2 record; #7 8-0-2-2; #8 2nd time out after finishing 3rd in only try' #9 has run 2nd in his last 3 tries.

Ahhhh, #8 lost by a nose @ 9-1!

What a bullshit try by  the Asmussen klan! Broke shitty & never made a move.

So Zulu Kingdom is good, right? OK, You put him on top with a few others in a tri key. Not sure who to take cause your looking for big #'s with this 2/5 shot. Instead I missed the opportunity to simply include Johnny V & Javier in the tri with Zulu. 

A $1 tri key  for 6 bucks with those 3 paid $86.24.

Sometimes it's right in front of us.

Race 10..I'm a big fan of #4 Locked. So I'm going to put him on top & making a play from a recent experience. In other words, I'm leaving out Irad, Billy Mott or JohnnyV/Pletcher. Throwing #3 @ 42-1 because he had a shoe replaced at the gate in his last race & still ran 4th. Also like that Saez stays up.
