Your Rights in a Traffic Stop

But we've strayed from the original point-which in my opinion is flawed-
The person pulled over-and subsequently searched- was in violation of the law-
An argument about legality of possession of marijuana is fair game-in a different thread-
This kid was not an "innocent" motorist- police did their job imo

First off, if you're gonna have dope etc in your vehicle, at least have the brains to check/use brake/signal lights. Put on the seat belt, and ffs duh, hears a real kicker, don't speed.

Worst case scenario, you tell that cop your name and address. If they want more info from you, you tell them you would prefer to first speak with a lawyer.

"You have the right to remain silent, whatever you say can and will be used against you in the court of law"

Whats funny is they don't teach you any of this stuff in school as a kid, i wonder why?

Police love fear, intimidation and people that have no idea what their rights are, and or how the courts work.

A better idea- don't drive around with weed in your car.....

you know the funny part of this thread? I would be willing to bet, that some of the people who posted in this thread, would be doing the same exact things, if they were cops.  Having power is a high and cops have that power.

You think they dont watch cop shows and then dont want to go act like the actors on tv do?

yes sir/no sir  if that doesnt work, then i start pulling out cop business cards from my family members,lollllllllllllllllllll

I do miss the good old days thou, when a cop would pull you over for dwi and instead of slapping the cuffs on you, they would just follow you home.

Bottom line is some cops are good guys and others are just power hungry monsters
