A very good example of the classic to hedge or not to hedge question

Since when was 72k an amount of money you settled for? Over here bookies have this thing called 'cash out', Which is the equivalent of a hedge except you don't have to hedge your bets, Your bookie lets you know how much they are willing to give you to cash out on, Instead of waiting 2 months to see if he could win 250 k, His cash out amount was 72 k and he took the money and ran, I'd do the same, Who's to know if the team he bet on implodes under pressure and he is left with nothing.

Yeah but I'm sure the cash out has juice, on top of the juice he already paid with the initial bet. I'm just wondering what the odds were on an exchange like betfair were for Leicester to win at the time of the cashout. If he's sacrificing 5k or something I could see it, but if he's leaving 20-30k on the table why not employ some hedging strategy on an exchange for their remaining games and save 20-30k?
