Why are Mothers more dominant than Fathers these days? and what happens moving forward?

You watch every show now days, The kids look to their Father for a bit of relief/fun and fear their Mother, You see it with your own eyes. The Mother organizes everything and keeps the ship running smoothly whereas the Father plays back up. Now there's nothing wrong with that and that is a chance to appreciate women of today's society but when i was growing up, Your father was the dominant force and you turned to your mother for relief.

How has this transformation happened? If this keeps going on, Surely that puts an end to the theory a child needs a strong male figure growing up? Which then brings me onto my final question, If Mothers are the dominant force, How does a g-ay couple raise their child? or a lesbian couple raise their child for that matter?

The main reason for this thread came about after i saw first hand a kid threaten to 'knock out' his Father in front of his Mother and with behavior levels at ridiculously low levels, It begs the question, How are kids in the future going to be raised up? It doesn't help that we have this hippy styled rhetoric of let our kids do whatever makes them happy or pat them on the back for mediocrity.

A few days ago, Russell Brand said he would let his kid choose whatever sex 'it' wanted to be, Now with that type of parenting going on, Where are we heading?
