What are your favorite toppings on you bbq burger.

Yes its the season for bbq burgs. I have a press to mold the burgers and it leaves an indentation. So I can put anything in the middle but mostly different types of cheese. I am pretty basic, I use dill pickle chips, red onion slices and sliced tomato. I never use catsup because of my sliced tomatoes.

What do you guys use. Always looking for a better burger.

Medium rare meat with some Worcester sauce and fresh ground pepper on the beef, medium cheddar cheese, avocado, white onion, tomato, romaine lettuce, pickle spear, Dijon mustard on one side and heavy mayo on the other, sour dough bread.

Light on the mustard, finely chopped onions, dash of season salt, pepper.

Despite the supposed health risk, medium to medium rare is the way to go. The best way to ruin a burger is to cook it into submission the way all chain restaurants do.

A good roll is a must. I have a bakery close by that bakes a variety of fresh rolls daily.

The local ocean fishing boat has an interesting one called the Aloha burger:

Burger, bun, grilled onions, bacon, cheese, sweet bbq sauce, lettuce, and jalapenos. I can't remember if it has tomato, I think that's optional.

I like to get a good fresh 80/20 mix (4 pounds or so) from the meat counter, then I mix in my secret weapons - a couple pouches of Lipton onion soup mix, about 1/3 cup of Worcestershire, and one single beaten egg. Season salt & pepper on the up side as you put a patty on the grill, cook no more than medium.

You'll get everyone raving that this is the most savory, juicy burger they've ever had.....

I like making my own Burger patties =

Egg, Garlic,Onion, Blue cheese ....

Topped with Fresh Onion,Tomato,Pickles Lettuce

It's all about the patty!

I make my own with egg, italian style bread crumbs, garlic, onion, worcestershire and when the patty is just about done cooking I top it with cheese. I prefer blue or old cheddar.

also make my meatballs same way

Sounds good, but is it better than a Big Kahuna burger?

Mix ground round with breadcrumbs, an egg, bbq sauce and finely chopped red pepper, onion and mushroom. I make a big batch and freeze them so I always have them on hand. As sad b4 a good roll is a must.

Wrap Italian long hot peppers with prosciutto and cheddar in aluminum foil and toss on the grill. Put 1 of those on top of the burger.

So many different ways to make a good burger. I remember watching either the food channel or travel channel or something ... and one burger chain had a ground beef/pork burger. I thought that was interesting and would love to try something like this one day. Has anybody ever mixed beef with another meat like pork before? Just curious.

Yes, but making Meatloaf not burgers. 1/3 beef, 1/3 pork and 1/3 Veal.
