the report is he WAS a high stakes video poker player BUT he was also a wealthy man with NO money problems. think there is something else in this story besides that

I think there is something else to this story also. Why wouldn't he just shoot up a casino instead? This makes no sense. And to plan it out 4 days ahead of time planning to shoot up a concert.

He ran through his dough and wanted to give Vegas a bad name. Shooting the concert goers does that.
well the news is reporting he was STILL a multi-millionaire so doubtful THAT would light him off and by all accounts he was NOT political. police/FBI need to talk to the girl friend to see IF she can shed any light on this guy

This is very interesting.. so the guy played video poker for 100-125 per hand... he was a multi millionaire, and fell at a casino 3 years ago... I saw a news agency report that the law suit anniversary was the night of the shooting...
so was it the debt that caused him to flip or did he have some type of pathology that caused his physical and mental anguish? I would be very interested to talk to his doctors and assess his medical records.. Pain can cause you to do stuff that is unimaginable.. add the gambling debt and disappointment that he lost the law suit and you have a mental disaster..
gambling is more addictive than cocaine folks.. the same receptors that cocaine stimulates, are the same receptors you get your "high" when you click submit or win your bet... the anticipation, the emotion.. this man obviously gambled his life. it seems he was a vindictive megalomaniac narcissistic SOB who wanted to show people who was boss... did he win tho? did he succeed in crushing the casino? those are questions that will be answered soon..

I'll go with simple that Las Vegas wronged him in some way or mistreated his pre existing sociopathic narcacistic ego and this guy was hell bent on ruining the city forever.
Too much planning went into this.

Maybe his goal was to amass such a huge arsenal of weapons legally and in some twisted sense of purpose, this was his attempt to force America into stricter gun control.
Honestly, I'm shocked that someone could have that much weaponry legally.
