Saw a dead person on the sidewalk again.

Today on my ride back from work I saw a person dead up against a tree. His bike and things were with him but it seemed rigamortise set in and he did not make it.... There won't be a story on the news second dead person I encountered in the past few weeks dead on sidewalk. And it was most likely another overdose. It hit me and as I learned through these 55 years here it didn't concern me.
Because it wasn't my family. So didn't even slowed down continued home where I am.

Just another day. Of I am sure many. Don't use drugs don't make poor decisions because that will be you. For the grace of God it wasn't me....

It is so sad and a shame that it happens and that folks get in that situation.  It is also sad that we have become used to seeing it.

I used to see and literally step over dead bodies more often than I care to remember. This was before I moved to Oregon, when I was still living full time is the Bay Area. The crazy part is this was before fentanyl exploded on the scene. I'm still in SF 5-10 days a month most months. And even though conditions in the streets have worsened, I haven't seen a dead body overdose victim in like 10 years. At least not confirmed. I see people that could possibly be dead all the time.

Sorry you have been seeing this, brother.

Make your heart tough. Don't look at their business and ignore them. Many of those people had a wonderful opportunity to better themselves. I guess if you were to see your high school picture you would be shocked to know what they have become. This is North America many people have school library colleges family and still their chose self-destruction. I used to care but I don't care anymore because they pray on people like us with good heart. I have many friends and relatives who my advice not to do good and some of them still got shot and killed some are crazy some are bums they chose self destruction.

summers are brutal here for the homeless in vegas.

No grass and they have to sleep on 140 degree pavement. even under highway overpasses.

they have cooling stations but it isn't a place to stay for long periods

there's a reason why the homeless want to get arrested and detained for a few days here

i saw the coroner in a patch of desert where i live and it's a vacant parcel in north lv.

they were wheeling out a dead body like scene from csi or something

@lennon65

I live in the south end and how right you are. right now, at 5:19 pm, it's 110 degrees outside, I don't see how they do it!
